Legal regulation of assisted suicide and euthanasia in the national and international context

In the first part of the article, the authors define the differences between the proceedings fulfilling the characteristics of euthanasia and assisted suicide and in the context of these proceedings analyze their criminal aspects in the conditions of the Slovak Republic. In the second part, the paper aims at gradual liberalization in terms of the decriminalization of assisted suicide through the lens of the ECHR and foreign courts.
