Review policy

Contributions that meet the formally prescribed requirements are submitted for a two-way anonymous review by two reviewers are submitted for mutual anonymous review by two reviewers. The journal's editorial board decides whether or not to accept a contribution for publication based on peer reviews.

The manuscript is accepted, accepted conditionally or rejected on the basis of the reviewers’ suggestions. If accepted conditionally, the author is supposed to correct it while taking the remarks of the reviewers into account and the reviewers are entitled to ask for re-evaluation of the paper.

The AFI magazine publishes contributions in sections:

- Scientific articles
- Professional articles
- Reviews

Scientific or professional articles are peer-reviewed articles with a minimum length of 18,000 characters – 10 standard page.

The review procedure evaluates:
- Originality of the topic,
- Content page - mainly a contribution to the scientific discussion on the treated topic,
- Scientific level,
- Formal level - language, stylization, work with literature.

1. The article is classified as scientific if:
a) is intended for the scientific community from the relevant field of research,
b) is based on scientific activity and scientific results,
c) contains the original results of the author's or the author's team's own scientific work,
d) brings new information in relation to knowledge in the relevant field of research,
e) is processed in such a way that its results can be verified,
f) is the subject of a review procedure and
g) has an international standard book number ISBN, an international standard serial number ISSN,
digital object identifier DOI or other standard number for the relevant output type
publishing activity.

2. The article is classified in the professional category if:
a) provides information based mainly on research that is used by the professional community,
b) does not have a scientific-discovery character, but its processing requires knowledge of the elevant field research and
c) does not meet the requirements according to paragraph 1 a) to e).

Reviews provide announcements and evaluation of scientific publications. They are not subject to review. They do not have a set minimum range.
