The Community Service as a Mean of the Enforcement of a Fine imposed for a Misdemeanour

The Misdemeanour Act regulates two particular methods of enforcing a decision imposing a fine for an administrative offence. The author focuses mainly on the administrative execution by community service. The subject of the paper is the assessment of whether the execution of the decision by community service does not violate the prohibition of forced labour. The author also analyses the conditions for the application of this instrument and identifies the reasons why practical implementation is not feasible. The paper contains a comparison of the community service in selected countries of the European Union.
