The paper focuses on naming and brief characteristics of socialist civil law as it originated and was implemented in Czechoslovakia in the post-February 1948 situation. Within the so-called legal biennial, civil law was codified based on the principles established by the Czechoslovak Socialist Party, whose real application is being evaluated in the paper. The results of this evaluation show that within the implementation of the “achievements” of the socialist revolution and socialist law in our territory, which was characterized by some characteristic features, or efforts presented in the paper, these were circumvented or merely formalized.
