Abstract

The right to information is one of the most basic forms guaranteeing
the possibility of watchdog activities for active citizens. Its regulation is
contained in the Freedom of Information Act (Act no. 211/2000 Coll.).
The expert public has been asking for numerous amendments to the
law for almost ten years. After all, the aforementioned regulation was
amended in 2022 several times. One of the most significant changes
is the new regulation of obligated persons. The author focuses on the
evaluation of the new legislative rules, paying particular attention to
definitions that he considers to be terminologically vague. Subsequently,
he raises interpretive questions, to which he presents potential solutions.
